The Ultimate Break

While the boss reminds me a bit too much of the one from "The Incredibles," overall this commercial is top notch.

I'm going to go buy a Kit-Kat from the vending machine right now, so that my building will get all turned on like the one in the commercial.

Cute commercial...but, I'm not sure why huge Pixar fans, (Pixies), always feel their leader is having its characters copied...this "Boss" couldn't be more different...

Really silly...respectively. I typically enjoy the site when I drop by.

Really? An extremely short, angry boss, who paces with his hands behind his back, in a black suit "couldn't be more different" than the one in "The Incredibles"?

I'm not saying... I'm just saying.

Yeah, those totally original characteristics, angry boss, who paces in a black suit...come on man...I thought you might be different than the other Pixies. Too bad...

I'm actually concerned for you and your abilities, if you're really buried that deep in the Pixie dust.

Did someone say Intervention? JK! Maybe this is a just Red State, Blue State thing!..although you are wrong on this:) Bob

Bob, as much as I love your comments, which are actually dripping from the condescending tone, you missed the point of my reply.

You said this boss "couldn't be more different."

I would counter that a tall, sweater-wearing, man with curly red hair who seemed to be in good spirits would actually be quite a bit more different.

However I would tend to agree that both the one in the Kit Kat commercial and the one from "The Incredibles" are both a bit to stereotypical.

Appreciate the comments as always.

Your loving Pixie,
-Dave

P.S. - It's not that I think Pixar can do now wrong... just Brad Bird. ;)

Ahh, it took a while but now I see what you're saying...I think. It's not the actual character...it's what the character is doing...?Right?

By the way...I LOVE most of Pixar's films...The Incredibles is one of my favorites...I just think the level of blind worship, takes away from the rest of the equally amazing work being done by other animation studios. I think there are a dozen films that are better than Cars...easily...yet, Pixar managed to get a free pass on what was perceived by many, (myself included), to be a beautiful...but, boring film...(as did my kids,it's the only Pixar DVD they don't own).

Keep in mind I watch TS1 and 2 and Monsters Inc., for inspiration when I write...I also felt Ratatoulli was not a very good movie for kids, but leave that for another day.

Hope things are going well, I think I remember reading you were starting up your own animation shop...great!

Best,
Bob
